'We enjoyed our stay at the Hawaiian Hilo. The steakhouse on premises had good food but lacked good service (at least during our dinner reservation we had). We stayed on the 8th floor and loved the view from our room. We liked that we could access the ocean directly from the hotel and the pool was nice. Walking distance to the lush park next door and to some restaurants. I did find that the property needed some basic maintenance and cleaning done. We stayed for three nights, and our trash was...

'Had a nice stay here in Hawi without completely breaking the bank, tho I do miss the old funky hotel that used to be a brothel. This was considerably more comfy, if pricier. Still a decent price. Nice people, right around the corner from the main area of shops in town so coffee and meals were simple. Great option.'

'This was amazing! Great staff, great location AND there's even a swimming hole (5 min walk, if that) with a waterfall! I've never stayed in a shared house before, but this one has spoiled me! It's close enough to be able to drive to all the good tourist spots. Oh, and hopefully you're there for the "big" farmers market on Saturdays. If I get back to the Big Island I'll be coming back here! Thank you for the great time!'
