'This was one of the best vacation properties we have ever enjoyed. Beautiful home with everything and anything one could possibly hope for. Neat and tidy as a pin, we opened all the windows and sliding glass doors to let the warm breezes and the sounds of the waves run through the house. Just amazing. The beach is 10 feet off the house.'

'This vacation was a 10 out of 10 and mostly due to this home! (Minus being evacuated for a tsunami for a night!) Everything was exactly as advertised, but the experience once we were there was better than expected! Arrival and check-in was super easy and not having to deal with keys was awesome! The interior was perfectly cleaned and ready for our arrival. The welcome basket and hand written note were lovely! I’m a sleep snobso I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the primary bed was!...

'If you are looking for a dream vacation, this is the place. Wonderful house, plenty of room for 6 adults. Clean, fully equipped kitchen. We made a number of meals here. Snorkeling off the beach was fabulous. There is a horseshoe shaped reef to the left of the property that is teaming with beautiful fish. The neighbors were very friendly. Steve, the host, is awesome!! He is quick to reply and very responsive. We visited 4 islands and this was our favorite, in part, because of the house.'

'Beautiful property and location. Well equipped kitchen with an air fryer. Ceiling fans throughout and a/c in each of the bedrooms. Mark is a very accommodating host who arranged for us to rent bikes and had them delivered. Lovely screened in lanai. Small market within walking distance. Had a great day on a short bike ride to Tunnels Beach where we snorkeled for the day.'

'Aunty Lydia’s Local was absolutely perfect for our family group - my husband and I and our two adult children and partner. We loved the space, location, and authentic old-school Hawaiian cottage feel. If you want to live like a local in Hanalei, this property is a great choice. We would book again without hesitation. '

'Our family of six had an amazing time in the Tiki house! We spent a couple of days lounging around in the house as the home and surrounding view of the mountains and plants and trees was enjoyable without having to go anywhere else! The beach is a short walk away and the town of Hanalei is almost around the corner from the house. Dont get me wrong, we did a lot more on our vacation, but coming back home to enjoy the Tiki house was a highlight of our vacation!'
