'The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London was a pleasant surprise. It’s a beautifully restored train station with great attention to detail. The entrance and dining hall were stunningly styled. The rooms were fine, though it would have been nice if a toothbrush and razor were provided as standard. The restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere with excellent music, and the service was top-notch. Occasionally, there was a bit too much upselling, but overall, it’s well worth 5 stars.'

'Mixed emotions on the stay. On the one hand the room and staff were all lovely and helpful, but an unfortunate situation has really tarnished the stay for us. We had a drink in the bar late one evening, and charged the drinks to the room per the bartenders request. We paid for these upon checkout, where we were asked to pay £45 pounds. I paid, thinking little of it other than it being a bit expensive. This didn't really sit right with us so we asked for the receipt, and saw that the drinks...

'I booked a 3 nights stay at Shangri-La The Shard for my fiancée and a friend including free breakfast as silver-tier benefit. On check-in, the hotel first claimed that free breakfast was not a silver benefit. When I emailed them the proof it was, the hotel then said it was only valid for the account holder. When I explained this is our household account, they said the error was on the booking website. They said to fully understand and regret the situation but could give only 1 day breakfast...

'Having a cinema with the lastest release was incredible. Also free water and sparkling water available at all times. Lots of space in the room, especially for a city hotel. Large bathroom with excellent shower. Very friendly staff. Super nice location.'
