'I stayed at the Chaya house which was absolutely stunning. The staff were incredibly friendly and a joy to speak with. Otsu is a smaller quiet town with lots of character and friendly residents. I highly recommend checking out the local Izakayas and cafes for an equally excellent experience.'

'This place was amazing to stay! Great location and wonderful service! One of the men that worked up at the lobby desk from Nepal had helped us tremendously especially with the taxi cab driver to help us get to the train station since we barely spoke any Japanese.He is exceptional! The kaseike was so delicious!

'We had an amazing stay at Stitch Hotel in Kyoto! Perfect is the word that comes to mind when I think about this hotel and its staff.
The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and exactly like the pictures. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the fully equipped kitchen was a wonderful bonus. It truly felt like a home in Kyoto.
The location is excellent — with a convenience store next door, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, attractions within walking distance, and train stations...

'Excellent place to stay in Gion. Really nice location, convenient. Attentive staff but they will not get in your way. Nice bathroom with a Japanese-style shower and tub area. Very clean and nice amenities. Although no breakfast provided, they provide suggestions and a convenience store is right across the street.'

'This is listed as a 3 star hotel. It is not. It is the most luxurious hotel we’ve stayed at, including 5 star properties. The room was amazing. The location was perfect. Although everyone in Japan seems extraordinarily nice, the staff here beat even that standard. There was not one second of our time at this property that wasn’t perfect. 10/10. '

'The place is excellent. You can hear sound from downstairs to upstairs but that’s okay. Bed is comfortable, kitchen has all the items needed. Washer and dryer was very useful. We had plenty of towels. Looking forward to staying here again. Location was a perfectly close to train and shopping with a grocery and market on the otherwise of block. Drinking coffee overlooking the canal is very peaceful.
One suggestion would be to include usb charging plug-ins for travelers convenience.'
