'An incredibly well designed hotel! It's modern and yet full of history of Otsu. Certainly a hidden gem. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Not to be missed is their guided tour by the hotel staff. The only slight criticism would be the swimming pool - access earlier in the day (from 7:00 am ? and maybe keeping it open later than 17:00) would be highly desirable !!'

'An exceptional stay from start to finish. Gracious hospitality, a true time capsule with updates in all the right places. The japanese breakfast every day was truly memorable, and the coffee shop on the property was beautiful as well. I could not recommend more, 10/10 stay, worth the price!
