'Nous avons eu une chambre au 21e étage ce qui fut agréable. L’hôtel est un peu décentré dans un quartier moyen. Très bon accueil. Tout est propre et classe. Nous avons vu qu’il y avait une piscine mais n’avons pas su si nous pouvions y aller. Nous aurions aimé être informés à ce propos, ainsi que de prévenir à l’avance pour la caution. Le petit déjeuner est complet: omelette, sausage, moyen de se faire des gaufres, yaourt, porridge, cake et choix confitures industriel. Du fromage ou des produits...
'Excellent hotel, my only complaint would be the Peninsula food service.
We ate at the Shanghai Terrace our first night on site and honestly the food was only 2 stars. Specifically the appetizers were minuscule, and 90% pastry dough. Whatever filling was supposed to be inside all the dough largely wasn’t. The whole Peking duck was arranged haphazardly on the plate, the skin was not really crispy, and the taste experience was completely lackluster.

"This hotel is truly beautiful — Art Deco style, full of character and soul. The lobby is stunning, and the corridors feel like they transport you to a different era, with elegant marble floors… It could easily be a museum. It’s located downtown, and many sights are within walking distance. The subway and bus stops are also nearby. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, but the bathroom could use renovation.
However, it’s a large hotel, and that comes with some downsides. There was a long queue for both check-in and check-out, as not all service desks were staffed. We stayed for four nights, but had to downgrade our room because it still wasn’t ready — even at 5 PM. There was no refund, and as compensation we were offered a free breakfast, which turned out to be just for one day. Very disappointing.
Upon check-out, the bills I received showed additional charges of $352.26 for taxes and parking. However, my credit card was charged a total of €495.88 — significantly more than expected. I sent multiple messages via Expedia, but the hotel never responded. Since I was traveling through the U.S., I didn’t have the time to call and follow up properly. I sincerely hope the hotel will look into this and respond accordingly."

My cousin and I had a fantastic stay at The Hoxton in Chicago during the period of christmas and new year's ! The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and truly made us feel welcome. Our room was stylish, comfortable but also wonderfully quiet, as per our request, offering a stunning view of the city skyline. The hotel’s on-site rooftop bar is top-notch, and the location made it easy to explore other great spots nearby. We highly recommend The Hoxton for a perfect blend of comfort, style, and convenience in Chicago!"

"Really enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Rooms were spacious and apart from some noise from the streets pretty good isolation. Breakfast was spot on. Large choice of eggs, bagels, sausage, pancakes etc. Staff at the breakfast area very helpful and very friendly. Hotel is located in a buzzing area with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Only negative I have to mention is that the first 3 days rooms were not cleaned automatically and we did not receive new/fresh towels. We had to go to front desk and ask for this. For the rest would definitely recommend this hotel."
