'We had a wonderful time staying right on the beach! The house was adorable and very comfortable for our family. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and there are several great restaurants within walking distance. You can't beat the location, we didn't want to leave!'

'The trip to our favorite location , Santa Cruz , was AWSOME . The weather was perfect, the location of the home , perfect . One huge setback was Construction at each house on either side of this house. We arrived on Friday afternoon to construction trucks on both sides of the driveway with considerable construction noise. It’s not the homeowners fault BUT a HEADS-UP would of been very appreciative !! The pictures make the inside of the home look much bigger but it did fit our family needs. “ THE...

'Lovely property. Very central to be able to get to local attractions. Only disappointment was advise that it is the visitors responsibility to provide their own gas for outside dining, which we didn’t feel we should have to do and the inconvenience of going to the garage to exchange gas bottles. There was only enough gas for one BBQ and unable to use the outside gas heater provided which would have been nice. Everything else was excellent. '

'The location & place itself was wonderful! It was right across the street from the ocean. The place was very clean, had plenty of towels & blankets. We walked a lot to restaurants & short drives to the aquarium & other places. The communal pool wasn’t as close as we expected. The only thing I wished we had was an assigned parking space. We came home late one evening & the spot in front of the house was taken so we had to park across the street. '

'I visited this property with my mom and her dogs in July 2025 and we had the most lovely stay. The house was perfect and the backyard so peaceful to let the dogs out and for us to decompress. The location was absolutely perfect - being able to walk to the iconic 17 mile drive was so incredible. We didn’t realize how close we were to such stunning ocean views! It’s also an easy 15 min drive to Pacific Grove and Monterey, which are also very dog friendly. The neighborhood was so quiet, everyone...

'everything was perfect from the location to the description. The owner was easy to work with, and the home met all of our needs. We were there for our wedding and the stress free environment just made our stay that much more prefect. '

'We've stayed in at least 8 or 9 places in the Santa Cruz area, and this might have been our favorite. It's spacious and well-furnished. The hot tub is excellent. Plenty of room for a family with two teenagers and a small dog. Easy 10-min walk to Capitola Village, 10 mins the other way to Verve and a bunch of surf shops, 14-min drive to downtown Santa Cruz. Hosts were easily reachable via text. Would definitely consider staying here again.'

'"Ernie's Place" was very comfortable, very clean, and fully equipped. We were there for three nights and enjoyed the plentiful bedroom storage, the kitchen facilities, and especially, after several days on the road, the laundry. Also, the Wi-Fi is excellent; we were able to stream the IndyCar race on our Roku stick with no problems. I also appreciated the off-street parking. We would definitely stay here again.'

'Although this property is a very small condo bedrooms right next to each other not good for couples. It’s great for families. Everything you need is there and you really are right in front of the ocean. The neighbors were friendly a few simple restaurants in walking distance and the whales were amazing. Parking can be a little rough, but I would definitely come to this property again it’s not the most inexpensive, but it’s definitely worth it.'

'We have a family member who will be attending the Navy Postgraduate School in Monterey. We were able to have a short family visit with all of our family. The space allowed us to have a family meal, watch movies, but access the beach and have fun.'

'Perfect location in Pacific Grove to enjoy the beach and hiking trails. Cute little "beach cottage" and beds, towels and bedding were comfy. We did not use the kitchen other than for breakfast but it was adequate for our needs. Parking was very easy on the street except for the weekend so it was very nice to have the parking spaces included as well.'

'Great stay! The property is well kept. Super comfortable beds. Kitchen was organized with plenty of dishes and cookware. Backyard area was a lovely ivy walled hideaway. Amazing proximity to the beach a wagon for use to carry our things back and forth. Cottage was cozy but enough space for 2 adults and 2 teens to be together, and still have space. And there is parking! A sweet place for a nice vacation! '

'One word: Awesome! If you're thinking about staying here you will not be disappointed. This was my second stay there. Last year was so good that I didn't hesitate to book again. I never even looked at any other property. '

"Een prima verblijf op de geluidsoverlast van de bovenburen na. Het klonk net alsof je midden op het strand stond, zo dun zijn de muren. Misschien is het handig om te gaan werken met een soort van klok - na een bepaald tijdstip moet het stil zijn op de kamer. Hierdoor tijdens onze laatste nacht toch niet heel geweldig geslapen helaas. "

"Prima verblijf voor 1 nacht. Restaurant is dicht op zondag en dat is echt niet fijn als je juist die dag aankomt na een lange doorreis. Zwembad en bubbelbad zijn lekker verwarmd, niet milieuvriendelijk maar wel leuk voor onze kinderen die graag wilden zwemmen. Fijn dat er handdoeken waren bij het zwembad. Ontbijt is a la carte en heeft ons goed gesmaakt. Fijne sfeer in het restaurant. Kamers zeer gehorig en met name de badkamer gedateerd. we hebben ieder toiletbezoek en douche van de buren boven en naast ons gehoord afgewisseld door de rammelende minibar op onze kamer. Kortom, niet echt uitgerust maar het was ok voor 1 nacht! "
