'Quite possibly the best overall hotel experience we have enjoyed! We have travelled around the world, but the overall experience of Marufukuro was unmatched. The facility was comfortable, relaxed, with a wonderful funky esthetic. The staff were awesome. Helpful, but not overwhelming. Polite. The lounge was a great place to relax and end each busy day. The room was also comfortable and included any possible amenity. Thank you to the staff and owners. You have outdone yourselves.'

'Stayed for 3 nights September 25’. Everything except the heat and humidity were fantastic. The staff is wonderful. Our room was spotless. Everything you need is either within walking distance or a train or bus stop is within 6-8 minute walk. Beautiful place. We would highly recommend. '

'We stayed at 4 different hotels in Japan and this one was our favourite. We were grateful to check in earlier (1pm) rather than 3pm. The hotel has a reception that is manned early in the morning to late in the evening. It is about 10 mins walk to Kyoto Station and the area outside the hotel is quiet. Across the bridge to the right of the hotel is a train station (about 5 minutes walk) and there is a 7 Eleven a few properties down. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. 'De staf verwelkomde ons op een authentieke Japanse stijl en zorgde goed voor ons. Ze spreken goed Engels, en zijn tegelijk nog heel grappig origineel Japans. Het is op slenter afstand van Ginza, de oude binnenstad.'

'Bel hôtel, bon rapport qualité prix, bien situé près de lignes de bus desservant le centre de Kyoto et d’un des temples principaux. Hôtel joliment décoré, personnel sympathique et arrangeant. Petit problème d’odeur du probablement aux canalisations ou à l’humidité, et est bruyant côté rue (très passant avec les cars touristiques), mais le personnel prend compte des difficultés. Je recommande ! '
