'The pool was closed due to a glass breakage.
The staff were friendly and did their best to address the issue. It would be nice if coffee were offered in the morning, or some other modest compensation for the loss of use of the pool.
The restoration of the midcentury building and the courtyard garden is of high quality. '

'This was honestly the worst stay I’ve had. The entire place smelled like smoke, from the front desk all the way to the room, and the bed was in really poor condition.

'Melrose Mansion is a great place to stay in, if you are visiting New Orleans. The rooms are very nice and spacious and have a great look & feel. Our room was very clean, which is quite important to us. Across the street is a bar, which sometimes had some loud guests, which is the only downside we can think of. The breakfast is sufficient and the staff is very kind & helpful. The pool is a nice addition to the overall stay. Highly recommended!'
