'We were so pleasantly surprised by the accommodations in this home. The owner clearly went above and beyond to make sure all needs were met. Whether it was games for the kids, extra blankets for the beds, toiletries that may be needed in a plethora of coffee accessories for the coffee lovers like ourselves. Owner was very responsive when we could not figure out the Internet situation and would reply to messages immediately. Would definitely stay there again and hoping to book in the near future!'

'We loved the accommodations and felt very welcomed as we entered the home. We have been visiting Galena for years as a family and the setup was perfect for all ages as well as our 11 year old goldendoodle. We spent our mornings on the front porch having coffee, late mornings playing pickleball by the marina, afternoons at the pool, and dinners downtown (always have to go to Fried Green Tomatoes). 'Overall, this was a nice place to stay. My kids really enjoyed the air hockey and retro video games. Another plus is that this inside a resort and minutes from starved rock entrance. There are 3 actual beds and two air mattresses. This worked fine for our family but I’m not sure that is clear on the listing. Main complaint is that the sofa is not comfortable and could use replacing. The host was responsive and made check in easy. I would recommend this place and would stay there again. '

'We had a nice stay and plenty of room for the family. The host was great for checking in with us and making sure everything was ok. The dishwasher leaked and he said he’d send someone to fix it. I just told him, we ate out a lot and would hand wash what we used, so he could send someone after our departure. 'Simple checkin, lovely home. We enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed! The sleep just hits different out here. We loved how far removed we were yet how quickly we could still get into town. Very cool to see the rolling summer hills and big green trees and even hear the wildlife from afar at night when we arrived. We weren’t in the suburbs anymore ;) Even as a very tall couple we still had plenty of space to spread out. We reco Galena brewing - ask for Kyler! '

"Prachtig complex in zeer goede staat. Ik heb bijzonder genoten van het heerlijke terras aan een prachtige, ruim aangelegde achtertuin. De kamer was zeer ruim. De gashaard op de kamer komt mij over als geheel overbodig, maar misschien is dat in de winter anders. Het stadje Galena is een fraaie bezienswaardigheid."
