Herbergen in Nova Scotia

'We had what was called a suite but was really a spacious apartment! It was comfortable and well positioned but was more rustic than we expected mainly because of the age of the building, but the curtains didn't fit the windows and the room isn't serviced. Breakfast was excellent'

'This is a really nice "old fashioned" hotel with remodeled rooms. Decor was very nice, bed was comfortable, and TV was huge. It still seems to be a work in progress, though, with a DYI feel to some of the maintenance. For instance, huge microwave is on a very wobbly shelf that seems sure to fail at one point. No place to put soap of washcloth in shower expect floor - and no grab bar to hold onto when bending down to get them. No elevator, either, so be prepared to carry everything up one or two...

'Relaxed but very service minded atmosphere in a beUtiful location on the tidal river. Excellent restaurant , slightly dated furniture but everything functioned fine.'
