'The hotel grounds were nice. The main office was notably clean. The pool area was nice, pool was large with plenty of seating around. It wasn't warm,however. If a heated pool is important to you, this was not (or barely). The room was somewhat dated with signs of past water damage, but it was clean with no odor. The gentleman that checked us in was friendly and told us late checkout would be acceptable, however the woman at the desk the next day told us no and wasn't super friendly. Breakfast...

'We enjoyed our overnight at Lamie's. We stayed in the older section and the brick wall and 4 poster beds added a homey, authentic feel to the vibe of the Old Salt Tavern next door. Beds comfortable, room clean. The rooms & bathroom are a little small but perfect if your plan doesn;t include spending lots of time in your room. We came to visit friends in the area and had lunch and dinner at the Old Salt which was really convenient to just come downstairs rather than having to drive somewhere...

'Expected more from an Ascend property than new furniture and trim surfaces in the bathroom. This is an older motel with new amenities. TV didn’t work. Window wasn’t locked and took effort to lock (single story hotel). The only friendly person on.the staff was the lady prepping breakfast. It was a decent location to get downtown.'

I also got locked out of my room Saturday morning for no reason my card was deactivated. They say there is direct access to the beach but that is an understatement. 'The good: the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with any questions. Location was great. Just a few minute walk to the main part of town and the waterfront. The not so good: the room and property needed just a bit of TLC and that would have made a difference. The hot tub was not working for the adults only portion of the property.'
