'Fair warning to all travelers, screen shot the instructions to get into the cottage before you leave Pāhoa as the reception is spotty at best. I had to drive all the way back to Pahoa to get the information onto my phone. Cottage is quaint and small but delivers what was Expected. Clean, ac worked quite well, all the amenities you Would need. Beach across the way is an optional clothing beach so be aware if you have kids lol. 'The beach is just across the street and very beautiful. It’s a walk down a cliff side to get to it. It’s a short, safe and worn climb down. This lodging is in a very quiet location. When we wanted to visit the sites the drives took 45-60 minutes away. That wasn’t a big issue but just be aware of that. Also, go grocery shopping before you check in. There’s a Foodland between the airport and the lodging. There’s a sweet patio where we’d eat and play games each evening. Two Spinner dolphins...

'This was a quick trip focused around seeing Kilauea’s frequent eruption episodes. We chose this vacation rental for budget reasons, and proximity to Volcano national park (40 minute drive). The tiny home was as described, 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed, full bath, well equipped kitchen, except for dishwasher (no big deal) it was tidy enough. Kitchen table and bench is really only place to sit, no lounge chairs or comfortable seating. Did not see a bbq, and outside table and chairs are pointless…rusty,...

'I highly recommend this property! We celebrated Christmas with extended family and loved the spacious gathering areas and private retreats for everyone. Each cottage, along with the main house, was thoughtfully stocked with essentials like coffee makers, towels, and dishes. The big house had fun extras like croquet and badminton sets.
