'It was cute and clean and very quite. The check in process was very simple. The beds were comfortable, and the snacks and drinks provided were a nice bonus. Some doors do not close due to shifting in the house, but it was not a problem. The hot tub would not heat at all. We did not realize the owner was on property so we did not try to contact him that night when were were trying to use the hot tub. Check out was easy, although we did have to search through emails to find the checkout process....

'The place is small and the deck was great overlooking the lake, but only accessible thru the bedroom which was only accessible by a small spiral stairwell. We could not get our suitcases up the stairwell which was too tight. There is great outdoor space, but we went in the winter and it was too cold to enjoy it all. Bed linens were great but towels were small and too few. '

'Palmer’s Guest House was clean, cozy, and perfect for two people to stay in. The rustic interiors were lovely, the bed was comfortable, and the location was great. Kristin was very accommodating and threw in a complimentary bottle of wine and a voucher to the restaurant. We had the Sunday Brunch and it was a great meal in a beautiful restaurant. We’ll be staying here again next time we’re in San Marcos.'

'Great place to stay if you are looking to not spend most of your time inside. The back yard is a peaceful setup. The washers game was so fun. It felt like having a hotel room with a pool right outside the door. We brought our 10 month old and were able to do with the space but it would not be doable with 3 adults for sure or even an older toddler.
