'We enjoyed our stay for our son’s graduation from Wake Forest. The apartment is neat and clean and spacious enough for 3-4 people. The bed and the inflatable mattress were both comfortable. We walked to many of our favorite restaurants (Mozzelle’s, 4th St Filling Station, Krankie’s, Camel City BBQ) as well as to the Long Branch city trail. It was a quick and easy drive to WFU. We loved the beautiful historic building, and the rooftop pool and views are unique for Winston-Salem.'

Everything was as advertised and it is easy to access downtown Winston-Salem just minutes away. Major issues: Chained dog barked all night, the washing machine didn’t work, had to call to find the linens which were stored in a file cabinet in a bedroom, showed up during check in time and cleaning staff was still there, hardly any dishes on site so forget about cooking a meal there. "The hotel is dated and dark and needs upkeep. I paid for a king-size room, but the internet connection didn't work there, so I had to be moved to a double, which was just as dark, with torn carpet and broken lampshades. The internet connection did work there, but the TV stopped working after a while. The following day, I was offered to move to other rooms, each with different problems of their own: loud air conditioning, and no internet connection again (even though it was an "upgrade"). I didn't feel comfortable or safe, so I moved to a different accommodation after the first night. The staff was very friendly and tried their best to help, but I didn't feel comfortable. I didn't feel it was the right place for a solo traveller like me."
