'Je recomlande 1000 fois cet hébergement. Maison japonaise typique au coeur de la forêt. Onsen tres propre et chambres grandes et japonaises. Tout est parfait. Les hôtes sont aux petits soins. A faire absolument.'

'Great hotel. It’s a bit outside the center of activity but with bus stops across the street it’s easy to reach all Hakone highlights. Breakfast is good and room was very spacious. Onsen is nice as well although a bit small. Downside is that you have to reserve diner a day before. '

'This is a big Ryokan, so less charm then a smaller ryokan. Everything was well organised, onsens are really beautiful, rooms are traditional. Late check-in. Dinner and breakfast were OK, but were not exceptional or really high quality as we read in some reviews.'

'Great for families looking for some traditional serenity. Tucked away with ability to book private onsen. Yes as a base when exploring Hakone, but get ready to walk.'

'Beautiful onsen, very hiddrn and quiet. Seems like an authentic Japan experience for foreign travelers. Wonderful private hot spring baths. Choice of western or Japanese slerping arrangements. Ie. Beds or futon mats on real tatami floors. The dinner and breakfast alone are worth the stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Especially when navigating cultural differences. '

'Loved having the boardgames available and checking out a kimono during the stay was a lot of fun! The traditional breakfast was way beyond expectations.'

'There were areas where you can access for different occasions, such as cafés, onsen, and relaxing library lounge.
The library lounge was one of the unique places. It had a bungalow space where you could lean back and chill. Also, there were a big audio device where you could listen to music and relax.
The best part though, was that they opened the cafés till 22 o'clock and the onsen till midnight! '

'Suiun was voor ons wel de kroon op ons verblijf in Japan. Wat een ontzettend fijn, zen en rustig hotel. Eten was formidabel, zowel ochtend als avondeten. De algemene Spa en Onsen waren fantastisch. Het personeel was uitmuntend. Mocht je ooit naar Japan gaan, boek deze Ryokan en ervaar de Japanse cultuur. Onze speciale dank gaat uit naar Suiun Manami. Wat een schat van een meid. Ze kon ook nog redelijk Engels. '

'Fun ryokan experience. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Very friendly staff. We reserved onsen times at check-in (50 minute slot per day) and the onsen itself was wonderful. Reachable with about ~10mins walking from nearby Tozan bus stops. Would stay here again. My only small nitpick is that there was a small inactive crane vehicle on the lot next to the ryokan, which didn’t obstruct the amazing views but the views from the room window would’ve been more “perfect” without it. Still had a 10/10...

'Absolutely gorgeous hotel. The rooms were spacious and well thought out. We stayed just one night but could easily have spent more time at the hotel and exploring the area.'

'This place is fantastic! The staff is super friendly, the food and drink on site is very good quality and extremely reasonably priced. Best of all, Onsen is so relaxing and wonderful. My family (including girls 10 and 12) loved our stay here. I’m not sure why this is called a hostel, that does a complete disservice to how incredible this place is. It’s more of a resort, but without the flashiness and price gouging. For instance, a beer here was actually cheaper than at the brewery itself and...

'Exceptional service and facility.
A bit outside of Hakone but a great location for folks who need to stay away from the city and people. The small town/ Sengokuhara is also great - a ton of museums and good restaurants. All walking distance. '

"Een prima hotel. Grote schone kamer.
Ontbijt was heel goed en wij hebben gebruik gemaakt van het diner in buffetvorm. Dit was uitstekend en voor een goede prijs.
Personeel is heel aardig.
Er is ook van alles te doen:
Heerlijke Onsen, tafelvoetbal, tafeltennis, Karaoke kamers, enz.

"We had a great stay! The onsen experience and breakfast are amazing, and the the hotel provides all the details you can hope for. Because of the way the hotel is built, and the beautiful garden, it is a must-do especially during fall. We should have stayed longer!"

"Leuk hotel, maar de matrassen liggen op de grond op een houten kader. Ik heb 2 knieprothesen en dat is niet evident om van zo een laag bed recht te staan. Het avondeten was lekker, maar veel te duur"
