'The proximity to the beach is a perfect walk, as well as location to the main Ave. for shops and food. They have each chairs and umbrellas on loan which is a plus if you fly and plan to spend your time at the beach. Room was very clean, breakfast consists of usual wrapped pastry, some fresh fruit, bagles, yogurt, coffee, etc. All self serve. Street parking is free and spaces available all around.'

'We had a lovely stay at the Glorietta Bay Inn, on our first (long-anticipated) trip to San Diego. The hotel was once an historic home, and it's still a beautiful place, with bougainvillea and birds of paradise a sharp contrast against the white buildings. The location is perfect for catching summer breezes - right across from the Del, with access to the beach, shopping, restaurants and bars, and easy access to the mainland via ferry. The breakfast is fantastic, plenty of choices and variety each...

'Well its very old .the room was huge but bathroom small .Staff was excellent and helpful Outside needs a little work ..loose mats on stairs need re gluing .could cause tripping..and area around pool littered .but nice experience. Pretty good'

'Great location! They have a few bicycles to go to the beach. The neighbourhood has some fine restaurants. You can walk to the ferry that brings you into the Gaslamp district. Unfortunately the price for this 3 minute cross-over is priced a 8 US$ single journey. '

'Unit was located at a busy street with many loud motorcycles as choppers and cars with extreme loud engines, as seems to be the culture in southern California. My sleep was interrupted many times because of this. At my request to relocate I only got an answer 4 days (and difficult nights) later. In the new unit the TV malfunctioned, the remote could only be used for changing the channel and not volume or even de-activate the TV. You had to do this with a button on the TV. TV itself did not work...
