'First of all, because our Flight was canceled by Southwest Airlines we were a day late checking in, I called the hotel explaining we would be late through no fault by us. When we checked in to the hotel we were told that because we booked through Expedia that they did not hold the room we booked for andvprepaid for. So instead of King bed we were given two QUEEN BEDS. BOTH HAD OLD HARD MATRESSES. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. VERY DISAPPOINTED! '

'This is a very nice lodge with a great history. The room was spacious and we really enjoyed the hot tub and the nature trail. My only complaint is with the people in the room beneath us as we heard them talking well past the quiet hour of 10:00 pm. As the inn has no night manager, I was required to deal with it myself by talking to them directly. Not sure if the insulation between the rooms is adequate. We did hear other neighbors as well but they respected the quiet hours. '

'In general the property was quite nice. Rooms are spacious if somewhat run down (they were doing some renovations though so that might be solved soon). It is in a nice location by the ocean and the bar/restaurant was very enjoyable with good staff. The pool is somewhat small but acceptable, the private lagoon somewhat makes up for this though (it is also a great place to try out your snorkel before going into the ocean).
The hotel is within walking distance of the town which is useful for...

'The ocean was visible from my room which was the best part of the room. The toilet creaked and the seat would slide off. The tub needs to be redone. During the daytime I was inside the room there was slow construction going on for the new restaurant. My stay was not relaxing because of the constant noise. Apparently this hotel has been under construction for years so this is a constant issue if you want daytime quiet. The food options here are lacking and over priced. Once Dukes opens it’ll be...
