'客室、ロビーともに清潔で気持ちがよかったです。スタッフの方とコンタクトがあったのは、チェックイン、ツアー、朝食の3回で全員担当者さんが違いましたがコミュニケーションが取りやすく距離感が適度で心地よかったです。商店街を利用してほしいとのメッセージをお聞きしたときに、ただ宿として存在しているのではなく、周囲の町と一緒にあるコンセプトの芯が通っていると感じました。'

'Quarto maravilhoso, estilo japonês, grande e confortável. A localização deixa um pouco a desejar, meio afastado. O horários do check in a partir das 16hs e principalmente o de check out as 10 hs ,me desagradou.'

'Wonderful experience.'

'Words can’t explain how beautiful this hotel is and in the perfect location! The hotel is absolutely amazing and the views are unmatched. I’ve stayed at many great hotels but nothing compares to this one! Breakfast is fantastic and staff is so incredibly kind! Worth staying here when you come to Kyoto!!! Amazing!!!'

'Sowaka was amazing. Great location, beautiful hotel, incredible food, perfect staff! Do take the 5:45 am tour to Kiyomizu-dera with the incredibly knowledgeable hotel manager. A wonderful and unique experience without all the tourists around.'

'Nieuw Hotel in Gion. De locatie is perfect voor veel bezienswaardigheden in Kyoto. Om de hoek waan je je in het oude Kyoto. Personeel is super aardig en behulpzaam. Mooie badkamer! Onze kamer had niet echt een uitzicht. De ramen gaan maar op een kier open. Het is wel heel stil. Net een nest waar je naar terugkeert ..heerlijk'

'Location!'

'A beautiful Kyoto house, thoughtfully and tastefully furnished yet comfortable for modern life with great view of the Yasaka pagoda. Every possible thing needed had been provided. We loved the bathroom. The little library was fantastic, and I loved to sit upstairs in the morning and watch the sun come up over eastern hills with a coffee and a book. Beds were good, it's quiet & dark, slept well. Great to have a washer-drier. Underfloor heating was good. the Arabica coffee shop at the end of the...

'Steal of a deal for this spacious room. Hotel was spotless. Location was great as well.'

'The room felt spacious relative to other hotels we visited in Japan, and everything was clean. They supplied all the standard amenities for our stay. The only drawback was the lack of daily room cleaning and a laundry room; however, they replaced our towels everyday, and also shared details about a laundromat three minutes away from the hotel. The staff were very kind and assisted with forwarding our luggage to our next stop.'

'We really enjoyed our stay. The location is a bit outside the city area and therefore very quite but still in walking distance. The rooms are quite small but it’s similar to other places we have stayed in Japan. What is outstanding is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We were on our honeymoon and they even decorated our room which was super nice'

'Amazing experience!'

'We had a beautiful temple and Mountain View from our room. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. The hotel did not offer much of amenities. Their website was under construction and could not get information unless we call the front desk. Overall, We did not feel like we got what we paid for and this hotel was very pricey. We wanted to experience what 5-star hotel like but was a little disappointed. We had better experience with lower star hotel (this hotel is rated as 5-star hotel).'

'Mooie en ruime kamers. Schone badkamer. Vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt kan echter uitgebreider. Weinig keus beschikbaar.'

'Our stay was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good stay and gives a great experience in the traditional hotels by having futons to sleep on and having the communal bath. '
