'This is a beautiful location, but it is more like an AirBnB than a hotel. There's no check-in desk and the signage isn't great letting you know that. You get a text or email with your room number and just go straight to your room and key in a code. So there's no front desk to call if you need anything (I couldn't figure out how to turn the AC unit off). It was a beautiful property though and the room and bed were very comfortable!!'

'Very lovely house and super clean. There was no firewood as indicated in the advertisement, but we collected fallen branches and that worked. Hot tub was wonderful and overall great property! Would recommend.'

'What an amazing stay. 1790s cabin restored in the 80s. Beautiful and still had all we needed for our trip to the lake. We visited historic Bedford during the day and spent our evenings in this beautiful historic cabin. Met the owner Dave and he gave us a full tour and history. He also gave us some great suggestions for places to eat and places to get great views of the area.'

'This condo was even better than we expected. It has what has to be one of the most fabulous views in Virginia. Everything was so well supplied and inviting. The balcony overlooking the lake was so cozy and inviting that we ate all our meals there instead of going out. It is situated right near tha state park which has great walking trails right down to the Lake. The owner was so helpful with all our questions. We live only an hour away so i think we have found our retreat place!'

'A perfect lake retreat for a larger group. Excellent location on Smith Mountain Lake, including dock, paddle boards, heated pool & hot tub. The beds are the most comfortable sleeping mattresses I have ever slept on while traveling. The home is beautiful and the views amazing. Close to shopping, wineries and restaurants. Definitely is a true vacation.'

'We had a wonderful stay. The boys enjoyed learning about bass fishing from Billy Kohls. Great hikes nearby. Hot tub was fantastic after the cold days. Wonderful fenced in backyard for our pups. Lots of games for rainy day, just wish there would have been pool stick chalk so my husband could’ve taught my son pool table shots. Excellent location! We would stay here again'

'I enjoyed staying at the Early Inn so much! Brian was a wonderful host. The room was beautiful and took me back in time! It was in walking distance of several places including The Harvestor where we saw the show. There was a great restaurant The Rocky Mount Burger Company! So much more. I highly recommend The Early Inn. '

'op de site van hotels.com was absoluut niet duidelijk dat we op zaterdag voor 12 uur in moesten checken. ik heb dit hotel geboekt om 17.00 uur en er waa niemand aanwezig. op zoek gegaan naar een telefoon om de nummers te bellen bij afwezigheid. hier werd niet opgenomen!!!! we moesten dus op zoek naar een ander hotel. Enorm balen als je al hebt betaald!!!!!'
