'This hotel was built in the 1930s and is very old. The owners have a lot of information regarding the history of the building and continue to do regular maintenance and updates. The hotel is on a semi quiet street and conveniently located with easy access to San Diego, Coronado Island and the places I visit in Chula Vista. A large, walled-off courtyard is where I enjoy my morning coffee as often as possible. This was my fourth stay at El Primero and I will continue to stay here when I return...

'Lovely, peaceful hacienda on the outskirts of San Diego. Beautiful garden all around, great pool, jacuzzi, game room. Nice breakfast in the morning. Staff very friendly. Fan, but no airco. Lovely room and shower. Fridge and coffee maker. Comfy bed. No restaurant or shop nearby. Short drive to nearest facilities. Wi-fi poor.'
