'Suiun was voor ons wel de kroon op ons verblijf in Japan. Wat een ontzettend fijn, zen en rustig hotel. Eten was formidabel, zowel ochtend als avondeten. De algemene Spa en Onsen waren fantastisch. Het personeel was uitmuntend. Mocht je ooit naar Japan gaan, boek deze Ryokan en ervaar de Japanse cultuur. Onze speciale dank gaat uit naar Suiun Manami. Wat een schat van een meid. Ze kon ook nog redelijk Engels. '

'This is a big Ryokan, so less charm then a smaller ryokan. Everything was well organised, onsens are really beautiful, rooms are traditional. Late check-in. Dinner and breakfast were OK, but were not exceptional or really high quality as we read in some reviews.'

'Wonderful place to stay. A few places nearby to explore alongside other onsen hotels. The hotel was beautiful, and the staff were very kind. We booked a top floor western room and it was lovely. The private onsen in our room was amazing - it was spacious and everything was perfect. The room was so clean and neat. Though we wish there was more to do in the hotel. Also, if there were more shuttles running from the station- that would be great. Overall, we loved our stay. '

'We had 2 rooms for us - enjoyed the night in Gora Kadan Onsen (Spa) on the way from Kyoto to Tokyo. We had full board = dinner + breakfast and, while not at all low cost, it was one of the most memorable stays one can have with great food and very traditional Japan onsen atmosphere'
