'Only quip was door wouldn’t unlock had to call for a code. Limited kitchen supplies so cooking was hard. Also area is pretty dangerous at night. Would not recommend to new travelers or people who don’t know the area'

'One of the best price/quality options for your stay in Chicago. Great neighbourhood with lots of (rather expensive) restaurants and bars. Supermarket around the corner. Metro station at 10 minutes walking distance. The Villa Toscana is a charming old house with nice garden and verandah. Rooms are a bit small and stuffy, with no view or possibility to open windows in the bottom rooms, although the owner unscrewed one of the closed windows for us to let in a bit of fresh air. 'During my 4 day stay, we had no power due to unfortunate weather events, however we had no power for the entire 4 days we stayed.This was very unexpected. We had no way to charge any of our devices or use any of the amenities until the day we had to check out. We only had hot water starting on our first full day we stayed. The place really should have a generator in the events of these weather related incidents, we were constantly hot and unable to cool down or really enjoy anything other than a...

'My original stay was for 2 night and 3 days(4th of July weekend). I had such a good time, I decided to extend my trip for 2 more days. The staff was very accommodating and made my transition to my second room/stay so easy and comfortable. Not to mention the location couldn’t have been more perfect. I will be back!!!'
