'Got in on a Friday evening and was greeted by the chirp of the smoke alarm in the master bedroom--the battery was dying. Even though the next day was a Saturday, the host had his handyman (who was a very nice fellow) arrive with ladder and a fresh battery. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood (the sheep next door sleep through the night and are charming during the day.)'

'We loved this property! So relaxing nestled in the rain forest! House was beautiful and one of the cleanest we’ve seen. Very well taken care of. We loved the hot tub nestled in the trees. This place is only 10 mins from volcano viewing which was so convenient. A few restaurants and a store close by. We loved the farmers market on Saturday. '

'This charming home is just a couple of miles from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We were able to drive up to the park in the early morning hours to see the brief 26th fountaining of Kīlauea. The house is beautifully decorated and has all amenities necessary for a very comfortable stay. My grandsons declared the beds “very comfy” and wanted to be sure that’s included in the review. We definitely recommend Pu’uwai Place'

'Unexpectedly wonderful. Book so we could be close to Volcano park and it was such a great size comfortable home. Per usual for vrbo the kitchen utensils were lacking, but not enough that it took away from our family time. Being only 8 minutes from the park we were able to watch the webcams and head to the park for a show. Blessed to see the volcano in action. Thank you!'

'Joel let us know that morning that an eruption had started. We were able to see it and have a fabulous stay without worrying about rushing back. The condo was great, very clean and as advertised. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others'

'This house was perfect for easy access to The National Park. Golf course was even closer, but didn’t have time to hit it. Beautiful area and great updated house was perfect for our 4 and could hold 6 easily. Great clear communications. Would happily stay there again!'
