'We selected this hotel because it had a beautiful view in the picture. When we arrived it had a lovely view of the sea, better than we expected. We had saved our money for one night to have a romantic evening with a view of the sea and bird watching in the early morning. But the room had many spiders, the sliding glass door didn’t securely lock (it would be easy for someone to break in), and people above us partied until 2;00 am. We were awake all night. No romantic evening with a beautiful view...

'The room was so interesting and beautiful. But the grounds were the best part, the outside areas were serene and well landscaped. My friend and I enjoyed sitting out or enjoying a hammock by the river often. I also enjoyed that there was a small row boat that I could row over to the beach area. We had our first dinner there and it was the most delicious meal of our 14 day trip (the volcano one).'

'Loved the pools. They were always clean and heated. Lots of chair options both around the pools and on the beach. Sun or shade, whatever you wanted. The staff was helpful and friendly. I stayed in a suite with a kitchen. Basic appointment but enough to make meals. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of closet space to unpack. Gorgeous view from my balcony to the Bay. Good proximity of the hotel to the Golden Zone. Very walkable. Room had a fan and air conditioning for the really hot...

'This place! Amazing, everyone so friendly, air con was wonderful, nice exterior sitting area, every appliance you could wish for and to top it off Denny dishes, we were so impressed. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating, room service three times a week, Oscar and bar staff were amazing and helpful. Shuttle up to town whenever required, beach 11/2 blocks away. What else can I say? '

'No front desk availability. No phone available in the room. Restaurant food was below average, drinks and were food expensive.Only 2 small bottles of water were provided per day which was not sufficient given you cannot drink the tap water. Additional water had to be purchased The pool and sunchairs were great, the beach was rocky and water was cloudy. The hotel is very close to the highway so a lot of road noise day and night. You need a car at this hotel as there is nothing within walking...

'The buildings and the rooms in this well maintained resort are the main attraction, the nature and the views are the strongest point. There are several restaurants on the site, however they were cloased most of the time, so the general buffet restaurant was the only option for dinner; and unfortunately is looks rather cheap and the food is rather average (and the house wine is undrinkable). The breakfast restaurant is much nice and has better food. For lunch yo better head to the beach...

'Room was dated but I understand renos have occurred to some rooms so hopefully the others will be completed in due time. AC worked well, nice pool area, cloe to the beach and restaurants.'

'Ocean view from our balcony- lovely! The staff are kind and friendly, always laughing. The property isn’t fancy but it is clean, comfortable and has an excellent swimming pool. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back. '

'This is a lovely hotel and the staff go above and beyond to make it so. Elisabeth, Oscar, and Raul were particularly outstanding in their attentiveness and kindness, but everyone we encountered was great. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and it was spacious and comfortable and luxurious. The balcony is more of an enclosed room with a small open window and a little foot pool, but it was fine because we were enjoying the rest of the resort all day. 'The first 2 days we stayed in a terrible condo with no view of the outside, it gave us a very claustrophobic feeling. Luckily we were upgraded to a very nice studio.'
