'A new building designed in the style of colonial era homes. Larry and Patricia were terrific hosts. Breakfast was made to order and amazing, including biscuits made according to Larry’s grandmother’s recipe. Comfy bed, plush towels. The dimmer switches for the lights are a great touch. Plenty of parking, nice large backyard with tons of birds. Remote location so it’s nice and quiet. Absolutely would stay here again! '

Indian Fields is a short drive away and it has a great vibe and good food. I settled in easy and had a very relaxing stay. The drive to Williamsburg was peaceful and well worth it as well. '

'WOW. I cannot even begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. The cabin was so inviting and comfortable It was easy to just stay in and relax. You didn’t feel the need to leave. There was so much to enjoy, the decks, fireplaces, the river, and enough space for a family our family of 8 to spread out and have their own space. 'Loved every minute vacationing at the Guest House "Holly Hill" in Charles City, VA! The Saltwater Pool was extremely luxurious and relaxing! Even though we had quite a few days of rain, the sun still came out long enough for us to swim in the pool! The two new managers Justin and Charles were very nice and helpful. This was their first year managing the property and they did an excellent job! Was sad that Steve Rula, Jr has retired and we missed not seeing his smiling face! Wish Steve the best...

'The grounds and Williamsburg era residence are lovely. The pools are large and appealing. We thought the dining would be less casual and had to go elsewhere for dinner. We also didn’t want karaoke, just a quiet dinner. Fine for families with kids not for more sophisticated travelers.'
