'We had a lovely stay at Howecroft over the new year period. Very spacious and well stocked with friendly helpful hosts.The gardens were the highlight for us, the kids spent hours just exploring, despite the freezing weather.The house was a little tired in places, carpets worn and some damp smells in the hall and lounge. It was spotlessly clean though. All in all a magnificent place and would be amazing in the summer with access to the pool.'

'Just had a wonderful week at The Hawthorns, the house was spotless and homely , nice linen and comfy beds , the kitchen had everything we needed especially for self catering. Lots of board games for the children , smart tv with Netflix etc . Sarah the host was very welcoming and gave us lots of tips on where to go etc .The welcome basket was the best we’ve ever had, so thoughtful. The local pub was very welcoming and child friendly. The local store and post office had everything we needed and...

'This house has such potential to be a great holiday home - the location is wonderful, the rooms are large and layout of the house is fab. However, upon arrival the house had clearly only had a very light clean. There was white dog hair everywhere and we had to clean the bath before using it. The shower tray didn’t drain when using it and there was a strong drainage smell in both bathrooms. The slats on the main bed were broken when we arrived but the agent sent someone to fix it straight away...

'Excellent layout /design/position/ brilliant showers. bed/bedding/towels etc wonderful. Very comfortable and relaxing. Lovely local walks. Great garden for dog too. ( Definitely a must do place. Naturally there are few things that it might be helpful for the owner to know ......Hot tap in ensuite knocks/ sofa not in tv watching position/ loose back leg on sofa ( perhaps because it gets moved) / cracked milk jug on arrival so used gravy boat/ gate is dropped and so difficult to secure/ kitchen...

'Lovely well appointed house with generous welcome hamper filled with local foods and drink. Soaps and shampoos etc in the bathrooms and cloakroom. Lots to see and do in the local area and our host was superb, communicating well and greeting us the first evening to show us the ropes. A wonderful stay in all respects.'
