'The property is actually a duplex that's connected in the middle so you have two of everything. My friends and I came from all over to spend a nice weekend in New Orleans and this proved perfect for us. The place is a bit rustic - as shown in the pictures- but it has everything you need. As I mentioned in the title, we particularly like the location. Lots of good restaurants in the area and an easy trolley ride down to the French quarter. '

'Melrose Mansion is a great place to stay in, if you are visiting New Orleans. The rooms are very nice and spacious and have a great look & feel. Our room was very clean, which is quite important to us. Across the street is a bar, which sometimes had some loud guests, which is the only downside we can think of. The breakfast is sufficient and the staff is very kind & helpful. The pool is a nice addition to the overall stay. Highly recommended!'
