'Our room was spacious and clean. Free coffee and tea in the lobby. Friendly staff. However, if I had to make a suggestion would be to completely get rid of the smoking room in the lobby. It’s right next to the laundry room and elevator. It’s unavoidable to smell it in the hallway as space is limited. Free laundry room was nice - one tip would be to wash clothes in the machine then transfer it to the dryer. The drying function in those combo washers never worked well.'

'This was my second stay at this location. It is just steps from the covered shopping areas and Nishiki Market. The hotel itself is very quiet and serene and boasts an interior courtyard with a tree growing in a shallow pool. Coffee and sake are complimentary in the lobby and the rooms feature traditional style furnishings, including a Hiba wood soaking tub. The showers are fantastic and having a laundry machine, fridge and microwave in each room is a welcome bonus. I really enjoy this hotel.'
