'This was my second stay in one year and I chose it because of its proximity to The Philosophers Walk as well as being located in a residential community, though quite close to a major temple as well as quieter and lovely ones. There are only 4 rooms; this is a typical lodging house - shared bath and kitchen. Proprietor Nakamoto is very helpful !!!'

The only minor complaint I have is the slowness of filling the hot tub on the first day. On subsequent days it got better, however. The staff was very responsive through email.

"Centraal gelegen verblijf. Vlakbij Nishi markt en de drukte van Gion. Schone kamers en comfortabel bedden. Wij hadden double beds, waardoor het bed ook groot was. Goede douches en een ruim bad. Gastvrij en vriendelijk ontvangen. Amenities wederom gratis beschikbaar bij de receptie. Elke dag kreeg je gratis handboeken, deze werden voor de deur neergelegd als je ‘niet storen’ op je deur had. Half uurtje lopen vanaf Kyoto station en meerdere bus haltes vlakbij het hotel. Klein half uurtje lopen van Yasaka Shrine. Erg geschikt voor een kort verblijf in Kyoto omdat je zo centraal zit. Je zit wel midden in de drukte van het centrum en daardoor kan er soms wat geluiden vanaf de straat komen (motoren etc) "
