'We had the most fabulous stay at this cosy and well-located Ryokan. The staff were incredibly sweet and service-minded, and the lady owner was such a treat!, warm, welcoming, helpful, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had the most perfect honeymoon stay. Our room was spotless and charming. We still talk about the matcha cookie from JAL that was specially ordered for us. We will surely be back next time we are in Kyoto! '

'Great location, excellent staff, very close to station, shops and restaurants. Would recommend a western bed rather than sleeping traditional style on the floor but that was totally our choice. Bath facilities downstairs are great and can book private couples baths. View was poor and aircons for building next door noisy through closed windows.'

'Great mood, definitely a unique experience with their inhouse bookstore and evening shortfilm presentations. A trendy stay in a traditional city. Great contrast. Rooms are a bit on the smaller side (no closet, no safe, 2 spaces under bed to stow luggage) but comfortable.'
