'This place has only been open for 4 months and is not your typical hotel. These are like mini bachelor apartments with a full size fridge, cooking area, etc. Location is 3 blocks from Petco Park for Padres games, and five blocks from gaslamp and restaurants. short uber ride to the SD Zoo and Balboa Park. 'A hidden jewel in downtown. It’s quite the upscale hostel. Sure, you share a bathroom (very clean), but you have privacy in your own sleeping space (no bunk beds). Free parking is a challenge, but you can find it (but read the signs). Do you want to save $200 or more a night and be close to everything downtown- like Padre Stadium and Rady Shell? 'The Horton Grand has been my favorite San Diego Gaslamp hotel for over a decade! It’s convenient to Petco Park, the Convention Center, Seaport Village and of course the Gaslamp district. There’s always lots to do downtown and it’s nice to be able to walk to and from the hotel. The hotel is always clean and staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are spacious enough with very comfy beds! Highly recommend!'
