'unfortunately, we reserved this property for myself and my three children as we were bringing in my son’s birthday. When we walked in the property, there was a roach in the master bath, the main door was not clean, there was a smell and mildew. There was visual mildew around the guest bathroom.. for the property managers request. I provided pictures of evidence upon check-in and received. No urgent communication.. unfortunately we lost our money and have not heard back from the property manager...

'This was awful! Worse experience ever! When we arrived at the place to stay it was someone already there. I tried to contact the host, no response until the next day. The code to the door we opened hasn't been changed since the last guest. I know this because I asked the host. Vrbo was helpful. The place didn't have the grass cut either. We were traveling with 11 people. We had to find another accommodation. We didnt find one until 330am. The place we found was not good either but it was better...

'We arrived around 10:30 at night. The neighborhood was fine, but the actual house was not. Once we got inside it 93 degrees, windows were open, and the place was not clean. In addition, there were two fire alarms beeping constantly. I reached out to the owner and didn't hear back for 24 hours. The response was to disassemble the fire alarms or remove the batteries. Additionally, the showers were both holding on by a thread, the knives were sticky, the flooring was coming up, lights in the two...

'Our vacation 2025 in Lacombe, LA was one for the books for sure, seen and experienced things we never thought we would get to see and do. We have so many memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. The home was so beautiful and peaceful being on the water. We got to see alligators every day while we were staying. The home was so much more beautiful and awesome, the pictures do not show the true beauty this home offers. Laura the host, was the best host ever!! She provided just about everything...

'I echo all the 10/10 reviews. We too brought our e-bikes and took several wonderful rides around old Mandeville. The bike trails are the best I’ve ridden. Lake Pontchartrain shoreline is a short stroll away, and there are many nearby eateries and watering holes to experience. The cottage is awesome. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice. It was perfect for our stay.'
