'Had an event across the street at Amy Greenwell, and my grandparents would always book here when we’d be on this side of the island. It’s older, but being able to walk right up to the restaurant is worth it, and in the morning it’s so peaceful to just sit out on the porch'

'Restaurants and location were great. Had to wait in a long line when my keycards were not working. Extended checkout time was not possible despite being a Hilton Gold member. Room was cleaned only once in three nights.'

'Comfortable, clean room. The pool area was small but attractive. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The check-in staff remembered us when we returned several days after our initial stay. Plenty of close parking.'

'Property could do with a good renovation but prob one of the best in Hilo. It’s tight next to an abandoned hotel and homeless/ rough sleepers are all over the place. We chose to self park our rental which was offsite in a sketchy gravel parking lot. This was not attended and had heaps of pot holes. There were also a lot of homeless people sleeping in their car. In saying all that. The staff were amazing and accommodating with any and all requests we had. Very friendly all of them just let down...

'Perfecte ligging aan het strand waar allerlei voorzieningen zijn zoals snorkelen. Daarbij prima gelegenheid om bijv. schildpadden te zien; zelfs langs het strand. Zwembaden bij het hotel zijn ook prima. Gezellige bar met prima eten ook in het restaurant. Hotelpersoneel is supervriendelijk.'

'The house was nice generally but the room I stayed in was very musty and smelled like cigarettes. The towels were horribly musty. It’s a must to use bleach on hotel towels but these smelled like it was not being used. The room mattress was way too soft for me. Finally, they required a $200 deposit which was not for incidentals but “in case there’s damage to the room”'
