'We had a room right behind the elevator and not sure if that was the tumbling noise we heard beginning very early in the morning and never stopping but it ruined our sleep. They offered us to switch rooms but we had only another night and didn’t want to move all of that baggage. They should have comped us something but didn’t offer and we were too busy to worry about it. The pool is very cold despite somewhere advertised as heated. There were ants in the bathroom and the tub is so slippery...

'Having a kitchen with a full size fridge and stove was awesome! The washer/dryer was another great resource to have in the room. There’s a free shuttle that comes every 30 minutes to take you to a destination in that area was great too. The pools are awesome. There was a section for 18+, 16+, and all ages. So if you don’t want to be in a “splash zone” you have that option. The food from the pool bar was yummy and was at a decent price. We are from Hilo and will definitely be planning another...

'Restaurants and location were great. Had to wait in a long line when my keycards were not working. Extended checkout time was not possible despite being a Hilton Gold member. Room was cleaned only once in three nights.'

'In general the property was quite nice. Rooms are spacious if somewhat run down (they were doing some renovations though so that might be solved soon). It is in a nice location by the ocean and the bar/restaurant was very enjoyable with good staff. The pool is somewhat small but acceptable, the private lagoon somewhat makes up for this though (it is also a great place to try out your snorkel before going into the ocean). 'I’ve stayed here twice and this hotel is really special! The downtown shopping and restaurant area, is literally right there…you can walk to everything from this hotel. The property itself, is lovely — with lots shops, an ABC store, coffee shop, restaurant, as well as pool, bar and small beach.
