'This adorable cottage was perfect for my husband, 2 small dogs, and me. We docked our fishing boat. Put the dogs on runs and basically lived in the back yard. It was quiet and somewhat shielded from neighbors. The outdoor dining room under the porch was an unexpected gem. The cottage is small, particularly the bedrooms. 'I absolutely loved this spot. I had such a great time and I actually miss it! I especially love the trails behind the inn. I had no idea that it was Pequot territory. It is really marvelous. Great to walk on. Not too hard, not too easy, tons of history, and a real sense of the sacred nature of Lantern Hill. I highly recommend.'

'Lake water is very clean and beach access is shallow which is great for little children. Our 21 month old boy played in the sand and lake every day. Caught numerous bass on the lake using the row boat to go out. There is no public access so the lake remains peaceful with no noise or wake from people on boats doing water sports.
