'We booked this trip as a family getaway for the weekend. We enjoyed a relaxing, quiet visit during March. The firepit and hot tub were perfect in the evening. The house had everything we needed and the owners were very prompt and attentive during our stay. '

'We chose this property for its proximity to Early Mountain Vineyards, which was our primary destination, but we loved coming back to the cottage and making a wood fire with the complimentary wood the owner left us! We ended up not cooking anything ourselves, but all the necessary supplies were there if we had wanted to. A nice secluded spot right next to a river!'

'Our stay was preempted by an emergency with our son at UVA. Luckily the owners were very understanding and let us take our belongings early so we could focus on our son’s needs. Not only was it a hospitable stay, everything was decorated beautifully and comfortably! A hidden gem! Thank you.'

'My dog loved the smells and just wanted to stand on the front patio and sniff as horses grazed nearby or looked back at her. The interior of the cottage was delightful, very clean with very comfy bed and full kitchen. I enjoyed walking around the property in dawn's early light and met several workers who were very friendly and ready to address a tree that had fallen across one of the trails. There are at least two wedding venues on the property which may give an idea of how scenic and beautiful...

'Wonderful and quiet spot to soak in nature with family'

'We spent a weekend hiking in Shenandoah NP. This was a perfect location to access the park. The house was clean and comfortable with all amenities included. The hosts were very sweet to leave fresh chicken eggs on our arrival and were very helpful to assist in anything we needed. Would definitely stay again!'

'Pros: Serene location, picturesque pond in backyard, great vibes and friendly staff. We were here for a wedding and had a wonderful time. Cons: Older farm dog off leash on property-roams around and bit our friend’s dog, causing him to bleed, Pond house cute but could be cleaner-quite dusty. '

It was in the perfect location, wonderfully decorated, well appointed, and even had an amazing amount of storage for the wedding cake and cupcakes that I had made for the big event. 'We had a few issues at the beginning of our stay but Vacasa did help to resolve them. The home is in a perfect location and the little beach outside was perfect for my young family. The house has a number of aspects great for a young family (tableware and basement playroom) however I was surprised there was no high chair and no pack and play (not advertised so I brought mine but easy additions to increase interest in this property?). Kitchen incredibly well stocked which made my evenings stress...

'The house is great with lots of room. The majority of the inside of the home was clean. The basement had dirt and bugs that needed to be cleaned prior to stay. The only uncomfortable bed was the upstairs queen bed. It creaked every time you moved. The outside needed maintenance. The grass was not cut, the bush’s were all overgrown and we really could not swim off the dock. The outside pictures in the listing do not really look like that. This was really disappointing because it could be a...
