'We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay. The property was very clean and the area was very quiet and relaxing. The host was extremely accommodating and accessible. Very good value and would highly recommend. The only very small issue was that the GPS took us a bit further on the road than required but that is probably a Google Maps issue.'

'Highland Cottage is a great local stay in Lake Placid. Yes, the bed is up in the loft and you can’t stand up, but that was no issue for us. We loved the place and will be back.'

The hosts were good communicators and went above and beyond, offering to do things that they wouldn't be required to do, like early check in. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Thermostats in every room. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.'

'Our family had such a wonderful stay for the July 4th week. This home is close to so many Adirondack activities, from hiking trails, lakes to swim and boat, and kid friendly fun. 'Moreno's Cottages are a pleasant series of little cabins between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. My brother and I stayed in #7. There were two twin beds, a nook and a small, separate kitchen area. It was rustic, but modern enough to feel like you had a place to relax after a hike. We did have some problems getting in, but Todd was super accommodating and had backup codes for us to use. 'We stayed at the”Blackhaus” January 19-23. The house was perfect for our 3 teenage boys and my wife and I. It is a bit off the road which offers serenity and peace. The house is well appointed and met all of our needs. It is located just about 8 minutes from whiteface ski resort and about 22 minutes to lake placid. I Will definitely stay here again. '

'Perfect for a long weekend up for a tournament. Great location, quiet with easy access to both downtowns. Need to take advantage of the firepits next time! Only comment is it would be great to have a ceiling fan or something in the room - more cross breeze. But overall great!'

'My husband and I had the perfect weekend getaway at Kelly's beautiful lil cabin! It was clean and furnished with all the amenities we needed. The compost toilet was one of the cleanest I have ever seen and with beautiful decor and inspiring quotes. The location was perfect to get to hikes and sites we wanted to see and in the evening we came back to have a nice fire with warm showers in the morning :) Kelly was great with communication and we are eager to return again! 'We had the best cabin maybe, Hemlock. I can't comment on all of them, but our friends' was smaller and darker inside. Hemlock was great. It has a good kitchen. '
