'We really enjoyed our stay in the in-law unit at this house in Poipu, even though we had assumed we had the place to ourselves. The neighborhood location was perfect (walking distance to multiple beaches & restaurants, as well as a pool) and the bed was comfortable. It’s very affordable for the area and the extra items (towels, beach chairs, umbrella, random snorkel gear) were super handy. It was easy to communicate with our host and he was very flexible on timing.'

The kitchenette is useful for breakfast and snacks, but if you want to cook full meals with a range or oven you'll need a different spot. But again, kitchenette is great if you plan to eat out mostly and just do light meal prep now and then.'

'This is a real gem! The house is very spacious and decorated with lots and lots of great beach and surf items. Vintage books, prints etc for a really authentic feel. Everything you could possibly want or need is there, from kitchen appliances to beachgear. Contact with the host Victoria was very smooth and she made us feel very welcome wtih attentive details. 'This was a great space to have while on Kauai. Close to so much, right across the street from the athletic club, whose pool was clutch with our 4 year old! We loved being on the ground floor to just walk right out on the grass. The AC was helpful just to shut out the noise of the roosters at 3am but other than that, it wasn’t needed it was nice and cool with fresh air flowing through. Jill was a wonderful host and we would certainly rent from her again! Mahalo Jill!'

'The location is absolutely perfect. Right on the ocean with a great view and access to places to dine and shop. The room itself is a bit tired. The sliding glass door is very difficult to open and close, the screen door fell off the rollers three times, and one of the jalousie windows wouldn't close. The room does have some nice extras like beach chairs, boogie board, snorkel stuff, beach towels and umbrellas. The complex has a nice pool and BBQ area, which we used. 'Facilities were nice, pickleball, near Makai golf course and same beach as 1hotel. Room got the job done but felt a bit dated. The ac worked but was loud and the bed was a little uncomfortable. There were also ants and ant traps throughout the room.'

Yes, we know about the storm that had come through weeks prior. We booked this condo months ago. Our host should have contacted us that the rest of the resort wasn’t up & running.
