'Great location, nice view. Good big bed. Nice sunroom. Old fashioned but well maintained. Room is large with high ceilings. 130 years old, has a lot of character. Right in Devonport. Good price point. Would highly recommend'

'The rooms are very small and basic and in need of a lick of paint. The room was clean and the bedding crisp and white. Don't expect any amenities in your room, they are basic and in a communal area in the hall. But that is explained in the room described. The showers and toilets are also communal and along the hall and are nice and clean.
We were fortunate enough be given free upgrade to the Delux Ensuite Queen room by the owner of the hotel. This was very spacious bedroom with a very large...

'The stay in the stables is poor, even for a low-budget version of the castle. The rooms are very noisy, not only noises from the guests next door (even if they do it quietly) but also from the noisy staff who start preparing breakfast at just after 6:00 am. Lots of loud talking and the radio on. The breakfast itself is good, but the breakfast location (the stable) is cold, (coincidentally?) the heating is partly defective, especially when the stable doors open on both sides because guests also...

'LOVELY stay-the proprietors Tim and Janet are wonderful hosts-we were allowed to check in early, shared an informal happy hour and they gave us a lot of local information and happenings. Janet showed a lot of personal touches to the room and it was great to have our own patio. HIGHLY recommend!'
