'Valley Ford Hotel is located on Highway 1, convenient for a drive up or down the California coast. As it's right on the road, we could hear cars zipping by until dark and early in the morning. There's no front desk... the proprietors left an envelope for us outside the hotel's door with the door codes, so we could enter easily. 'The place is very relaxing. The view of the river and the hills is beautiful. The hotel and the open spaces are very well maintained and a good mix between modern and quaint. All the hotel staff are very warm and helpful. We would definitely want to go again.'
