'We had a wonderful stay at Strawhouse Resort. The property is beautiful, with the cafe and patio along the river. Good pizza and coffee roasted on site. Amazing hospitality from Don, Julia and all the Strawhouse team. We stayed in the yurt. What a fun experience. It was cozy and well appointed. This area along the Trinity River is so beautiful. '

'We enjoyed our time here, the location is great, the sounds of the river were very relaxing. The town nearby was great to get groceries and food. The only issue we had is that this cabin is under construction it seems, there was no usable closet space because of this. I would still recommend it though.'

'Really enjoyed this home. Three bedrooms and 3 baths, so everyone had their own space, which was nice. The home was clean, and it had a nice deck with bird and hummingbird feeders which we enjoyed. Our favorite part of the trip was watching the resident squirrel regularly pilfering seed from the 'squirrel proof' feeder. :) Fully stocked kitchen, so it was nice to be able to cook food rather than depending on fast food. Town and grocery were a quick ten minute drive away. Quiet...

'Very clean and beautiful structure. The pictures on the site make you think you will have a river view and maybe even be able to walk out to the river. That is not real. It’s a short hike or a drive to the river. Not a huge deal but we were a bit surprised. The fireplace smokes up the entire home. We turned off the the heat and it still did it. Fireplace is beautiful and heated the room but smoke was everywhere!!! Other than that, I would stay there again!'
