The facilities are second to none, it felt like a home from home but in much more beautiful surroundings. Orchard House is very close to all amenities but secluded for peace and tranquility. There was a lovely offering on arrival in the form of a welcome pack, totally unexpected and a treat. The owners were friendly and chatted to members of my family. 'Geweldig huis met fijne tuin. Heerlijk verwarmd zwembad bij het huis. De accomodatie bestaat uit twee aan elkaar gebouwde vakantiehuizen. Wij hadden Millers Cottage tot onze beschikking. Deze cottage heeft een fijne groene tuin met fijn tuinmeubilair en droogrek. Het huis heeft een elektrische kachel die het huis zeer snel kan opwarmen als het fris is. Er zijn twee douches en 1 bad. 'Moving to Chittlehampton,were looking for somewhere to stay for the first few weeks nearby and Prospect Cottage was perfect. We felt at home immediately, it has a cosy atmosphere with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The view looking out of the cottage onto the square is quite charming with the Church at the top the Bell Inn at the bottom and beautiful cottages in between. 'The house is nicely decorated and was very clean. We only had to get rid of a large number of spiders, but that was due to our arachnophobia. It is a place where one can really calm down and relax and it´s great that dogs are allowed. We enjoyed walking along the coast and down to the "beach" where we saw some quite "dramatic" sunsets. The only downside was, that the 2 lower bedrooms were damp so that we needed to keep dehumidifiers running. But still one of the bedrooms had a quite unpleasant...

'Myself and my 2 children (10 &14) had a lovely stay at Rosie's cottage. The cottage was clean, beds were comfy, everything you need in the kitchen. The cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch. The swimming pool was a perfect temperature and could be used whenever we wanted. The peacocks in the garden kept my youngest occupied along with the trampoline. 'Delightful accommodation with plenty of space to for our three generations and what a location. Had not known about Appledore before we went but its just perfect, would definitely reccomend, from the rockpooling and crabbing opportunities with the kids to wandering down to the Coffee Cabin first thing and simply enjoying the holiday atmosphere and estuary views. We finshed with a meal at the Beaver Inn (book early as its busy)- really nice pub. Oh, and not forgetting the Devonshire ice cream...

'This is a delightful cottage - we loved it - cosy, beautifully designed and very comfortable. It's in an amazing location, right in the heart of Croyde, but just off the main street and down a small lane, with direct access (10min walk) to the beach. We loved being able to walk everywhere. 'Lovely cosy cottage. All the contact with owner was very good and everything explained fully about the cottage. The parking was good but the roads out are very narrow and it’s a long walk into Bude on a busy road. The buses are unreliable too so we had to always drive into Bude which was quiet in October but I’m sure would be different in the tourist season. Overall for us we liked the cottage very much.'
