'This cottage isn't fancy but it has 4 bedrooms with lots of sleeping spaces, two tables for eating (or one for eating and one for playing board games!) and a nice outdoor patio area. We love the deep water dock and peacefulness of this part of Lake Gaston.'

'This is such a a great place to get "away from it all"! There are fun floats available, and paddleboards and kayaks if you're more adventurous. The house itself is nestled in some trees right on the lake. The screened porch is perfect for morning coffee, and there is a nice gravel path down to the water. 'This trip we had three adults, one teenager and one preteen for 4 nights. The house was the perfect size for us and clean upon arrival. The check-in was smooth and parking was ample for more than the two cars we brought. Internet was very important to us and it worked great! There were a lot of stairs, but we knew that when we booked this house. Kids had a great time fishing, swimming, jumping off the decks and playing ping pong. 'The house has all of the amenities you need to stay in touch if you want but also the beautiful outdoors to distract you and allow you to escape from reality and just enjoy the lake. Floats, kayaks, towels, grill, fire pit, wifi, it was all amazing! We had a few hiccups when we got there but Emily and Tucker jumped right on it and we were fixed in no time!'

'House is lovely and inviting, just like the pictures. The entrance stairs are a little steep, but manageable. Very spacious, open and comfortable. Great place to spend relaxing. Close access to several state recreation areas for boat ramp. Quaint country store about 3 miles from the house with good food and milk shakes. Will definitely be going back.'
