'We went for a weekend getaway'

'Family of six had a great stay at the Cozy Cedar Chalet. Remote, quiet location but not too far off the beaten path. Home is roomy, well laid out, and immaculately clean. Host was in contact, interested and organized. We will come back in the summer!'

'Our vacation was great!! Plenty to do with all the amenities that are offered. John responded quickly anytime I needed assistance. There was even 2 turkeys hanging out in the yard to keep us company. Overall I recommend John’s house and the hideout to anyone who like “the mountain life”. Thanks again!!'

'We stayed at this property for a long weekend in the winter. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. The 2 gas fire places were nice in the winter weather. The house had a beautiful view of the lake and was a very quick drive to the ski mountain.'

'This property was beautiful for a fall getaway. It was very clean, which was important to us, and very well maintained. We stayed with my parents and children and there was plenty of room. My husband and kids fished off of the dock in the back, and had a great time! A couple good restaurants close by as well for dine in or take out.'

'We had a great weekend at this property. The house is adorable and the space was great to get family together. Only small flaw for our group was the spiral staircase as we had a number of small children who wanted to climb up and down most of the time there. Otherwise perfect time away with our group. Would absolutely recommend.'

'The house is updated, tastefully decorated and clean. The owners were very nice, receptive and accommodating. The only hiccup we experienced was not having an in house clothing washing and drying option. We are a family of two parents and four young boys. Not having that option was a challenge.'

'We stayed here President’s Day weekend 2024 and had a wonderful time. Very comfy cozy. Only approximately 25 minutes away from Elk Mountain which was very convenient. Just make sure you bring everything you need as the stores locally may not have what you need.'

'The property is great. 10 acres on the river with path cleared for walking around. Sean was great to communicate with and allowed me to bring my three dogs. It was my first time there and I am going back for a week in October. The cabin itself has all you would want. Good wifi, tv and a smaller but very cold fridge. I spent a great deal of time on the spacious porch which has a three foot overhang so you stay dry when it rains. I was out there at 6 every morning with my coffee after walking the...

'This house was exactly what we were looking for, for our little winter break getaway. The owners were very responsive and tentative with any questions I had. The hot tub and fireplace was a big hit for all of us and the basement was perfect for our three boys who love to play games! We were certainly sad to leave!'
