'My wife and I stayed at the Eagle Street Retreat for 2 nights over the Total Eclipse weekend. Although the apartment was not ready a check-in time, the contact person with Heavenly Hosts apologized for the inconvenience and told us the cleaning crew was in their way. They arrived shortly after, also apologizing, but left some 45 minutes later leaving the unit spotless, which made my wife happy. And the manager refunded the cleaning fee. 'We had a great stay here. Dinner was walking distance and had live music. We rented a boat at the marina and kids had a blast on the lake. Probably our favorite activity was fishing off docks (you can rent poles and worms from marina). My favorite part was sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. 'We enjoyed our getaway at Horseshoe Bay. The property is well kept and the condo is just lovely. The property is clean, well furnished, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The community at Horseshoe Bay is also a bonus. Everybody we encountered was so kind. Our hosts were wonderful and available if we needed them. They provided a list of nearby restaurants and offered assistance for excursions. We have family in the area with a pontoon boat, and sailing over the bay was great....

'This condo really deserves better housekeeping. Upon check in I had to dig back thru past emails to find the door code..it could have been much simpler by sending it in the day of arrival text. My first notice that the housekeeping was a miss was upon drying my hands on a hand towel that had food particles on it..the same red chile food stain was on the duvet in MB. Also fresh large carpet stains in the MB... The balcony could have been more appealing by a little sweeping and dusting off of...

'Once again, we had a very enjoyable & relaxing stay at the condo. The patio has a small grill which makes it absolutely wonderful. The condo is also well equipped; the only suggestion I would make is to add a pitcher so iced tea could be made.'

'We did enjoy the house, location, and amenities. Bring your Kcups and enjoy coffee on the front porch. If you get caught in an evening rain, the gas fp offers a quick warm-up. All in all, very nice. Parking is on the street, but it’s a VERY wide street and quiet area. Only 1-1/2 blocks from the main downtown area. I knocked one star, because I think the toilet area of primary bath was missed in cleaning. A lot of long hair and dust in that area - not the case with the rest of the house....
