'The room was small, but we knew before booking the accommodation. But we were in New York City, so the only moment we were in the room was for sleeping and when we were wet because of the rain. Multiple metro entrances are nearby, so it is easy to get somewhere. Sometimes there was someone at the reception desk, all the time amiable. 'The location of this hotel is really great and we liked the local vibe of the neighbourhood. Train station, Traders’ Joe and Essex foodmarket are very close. You are also very close to Brooklyn. We liked the water and coffee in the lobby and the staff is very friendly. The only negative thing I can think of are the small beds but we are very tall. '

The only downside was the amount of people who would try to approach you to sell you knock offs - canal street after all. The hotel does have signs that tell people not to stand by the doors. Since you are in the city there is traffic noise, but the room has complementary earplugs in case you need it. '
