'Perfect location for 2 people visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Staying this close made it easy to get to the park to see the latest eruption. The garden on site is beautiful. Some other reviews complained about not having hot water, the host clearly states it takes a while, so just give it time. And yes we saw a spider, took two seconds to remedy that. It's in the middle of a rainforest which is beautiful, but if you want to be in nature, you might just see nature. So don't let those...

'Elaine and Carter’s studio was perfect for my wife and I when visiting Volcanoes NP and Hilo. We spent I full day and 3 evenings in the National Park and 1 day exploring the beaches and waterfalls near Hilo. The studio was clean, well appointed and gated. Elaine and Carter were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay there again in our next visit!'

'There were definite highs and lows to this property. The rooms were very clean and there was great entertainment options (games available to play) and lots of beds, which is what we wanted. However, we really wanted the hot tub which this property advertised, but was clearly not being uproot or available for use. There was one line in the posting, that the water is not drinkable. I applaud that this property is so green, but it was somewhat inconvenient for utilizing water. The biggest complaint...

'We loved our stay at Fern Cottage! The hosts met us and were super nice. We really enjoyed chatting with them. The studio is spotless, beautiful, comfortable, and has everything you need - even slippers. We loved hearing the frogs at night, and the drive to Volcanoes National Park was only about 10 minutes. We would definitely stay there again (or move in permanently ;) ).'
