LOCATIE, LOCATIE, LOCATIE: Punta Gorda is een van de verborgen geheimen van Florida. Het is een paradijs voor watersporters en vissers met geweldig cruisen / zeilen en vissen vanaf uw achterdeur. De sfeer is ontspannen en ingehouden en de mensen hier zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Er is een prachtige historische binnenstad met winkels en restaurants. De stad ligt buiten de gebaande paden, maar toch dichtbij en gemakkelijke toegang tot alles wat je nodig hebt. Prachtige stranden, onbeperkt winkelen, kinderattracties, films / theater en culturele activiteiten zijn allemaal direct beschikbaar op korte rijafstand.

Kom genieten van de rust van Punta Gorda, in dit vernieuwde huis met 3 slaapkamers en 3 badkamers met uitzicht op het kruisende kanaal vanuit zowat elke kamer. Ontspan op de 1800 m². Lanai met groter zwembad en bubbelbad en niet te vergeten het beste uitzicht op de gracht en zonsondergangen. Home is mooi ingericht met alles wat u nodig heeft om te genieten van een ontspannen vakantie

Breng uw boot of huur er een in de stad (geen boottakel, alleen een dok), op slechts 10 minuten varen naar Charlotte Harbor en naar het open water van de Golf van Mexico.

De rustige buurt is geweldig om te wandelen, hardlopen en fietsen en ligt op slechts enkele minuten van Fisherman's Wharf en de binnenstad. We verwelkomen gezinnen en koppels voor vakanties van een week, evenals gepensioneerden die komen genieten van een langetermijnverhuur in de zon. We hebben een grote slaapkamer met uitzicht op het zwembad, een kamer met queensize bed en een derde kamer geschikt voor kinderen of een ander stel.

Geniet van dit stukje rustgevend paradijs om terug te keren na een bezoek aan de beroemdste themaparkattracties van Florida (twee uur naar Busch Gardens, Tampa en Walt Disney, Orlando). Ontspan op de Lanai na een dagtocht naar Napels, Boca Grande, Sanibel of Sarasota, allemaal binnen 1 uur rijden. Witte zandstranden van wereldklasse zijn slechts 40 minuten in elke richting.

LUCHTHAVENS: Minder dan 45 minuten naar Regional South West Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers of 1 uur en 45 minuten naar Tampa International Airport (TPA). Vlieg met Direct Air naar de luchthaven van Punta Gorda op 10 minuten van het huis.

AUTOVERHUUR: Enterprise en Hertz bevinden zich op Tamiami Trail in Punta Gorda, Enterprise met gratis ophaalservice. Als u liever uw eigen auto heeft, zullen verschillende bedrijven deze voor u wegrijden.

RESTAURANTS: Vissersdorp en veel goede restaurants in de binnenstad allemaal binnen 5 minuten.

WINKELEN: Minder dan 10 minuten naar Fisherman's Village en veel charmante lokale winkels in de stad of vele grote winkelcentra ongeveer een half uur rijden. Verschillende supermarkten, drogisterijen, banken, Wal-Mart en Home Depot binnen 2-5 mijl.

GOLF: Dichtstbijzijnde is een privé-golfbaan St. Andrews South Country Club & Golfbaan op minder dan 5 minuten lopen van het huis en lange termijn gasten kunnen lid worden.

Wonderful Five Week Stay

Highly recommend this property and host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from check-in to check-out. The property was immaculate upon arrival, and we were pleased that the host reached out to us within the hour to verify that we had what we needed and were comfortable with the amenities. He was very responsive to the rare questions we had during our stay. The home was spacious and the furniture very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and soaker tub, and the tv in the lanai was a great perk. The dock provided convenient and successful fishing opportunities, and the boat traffic and occasional dolphin in the canal were fun to watch from the patio. While located on a busy street, the circular driveway assisted with access to the roadway, and little street noise was heard from inside the house or lanai. We would definitely rent this property again if available.

Beautiful Canal Lot

Upon arrival the house was spacious and clean. Wife commented that it showed better than the pictures. We enjoyed most of our time under the lanai or around the pool. Terrific sunset views over a spacious canal intersection. Steve was very accommodating and responded quickly to inquiries. Well equipped and very comfortable. Located on a busy street but close to city center and quiet in the evening. We stayed for a month; didn't want to leave and would love to return.

Great time in Beautiful Punta Gorda

A beautiful property that is extremely comfortable for a great 1 month vacation stay. Steve and his wife where very responsive to all our questions in a very timely fashion. His beautiful pool, hot tub and back patio made our vacation wonderful. If you are a person that cruises you will know what I mean when I say that “It is a day at sea”. That is how you feel when spending the day at the home around the pool and patio. Great time was had by all.

Very nice Punta Gorda escape!

Our stay at the property was largely a success and we are happy. Our only issues were the pull-out beds in the smaller bedroom (one of which should be replaced) and the process for heating the hot ub (which owner did make easier for us). The furnishings are a bit dated but we knew that from the photos. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware and appliances. Overall, I would recommend this property as a good value! Owner/manager is easy to communicate with and does everything he can to accomodate his guests.

I love this house. The owner is so easy to work with and the inside is just beautiful. We are able to keep our boat at the house to get out on the water anytime we want. I would recommend this property to anyone who want to feel right at home. It is very convenient to Fisherman's Village (which I did my daily walk to and back every morning) It is also very convenient to downtown. You will not be sorry you rented this property.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It is spacious, well appointed and well maintained. It had everything we needed and we particularly enjoyed the canal view. Loved the heated pool! It is a great location, convenient to charming downtown Punta Gorda and within easy distance to a variety of golf courses. The owner was very easy to deal with and very responsive.

Great Escape!

We stayed here for 4 weeks, and loved every minute of it! The house is great; it had everything we needed. We docked our boat and had easy access to the harbor. We loved the pool, and beds and furniture were quite comfortable. The linens and towels could stand to be replaced, as well as the patio furniture. A table inside the lanai would have been nice, and possibly a couple more TVs in the bedrooms. Overall, a great house in a great little city!

Property was great and well kept. Am a little disappointed in what looks like a substantial price increase for next year. With that said on a smaller note I would suggest upgrading the linens. They were all really worn. The kitchen linen was lacking also. Regular kitchen linen would have been more appropriate than the wash cloths provided. Bed linen had small holes. While the checkout procedure said empty cabinets, in the several years we have rented there has always at least been salt and pepper. Just a little thing but nice gesture for the next renter. Overall, definitely a great rental at a great location. The owners are great to work with on anything that might need attention. It's a home we would definitely rent more than once but not at the increased amount.

Comfort Plus!

We enjoyed our six weeks in this beautiful home, and a highlight was the heated pool and spa. We spent many hours lounging there, and in the evenings we enjoyed the family room directly off the pool for tv, card games or reading. Any questions or problems we had were immediately answered to our satisfaction by Steve. We rarely used the outdoor eating area and would have preferred a table under the lanai, but that is just our preference because we often ate after sunset. The kitchen is very well equipped, and all appliances (including the washer and dryer) worked well. We did have to purchase a coffee maker (since we don't like keurig) and some cleaning supplies for upkeep of the bathrooms and kitchen. Thank you for opening this attractive home for our use. I wish we were the ones retiring there!

Terrific home and gracious owners!

My family I had the pleasure of renting this fantastic home for 1 week (Oct. 5-12, 2016) in Punta Gorda, Florida. Everything was as advertised or better! The home was extremely clean and every room was beautifully furnished and decorated. The pool was great and the lanai area is large and accommodating, and with plenty of comfortable furniture, outdoor TV, refrigerator, and grill, you could spend all day out there. The home is located on a calm canal in the Punta Gorda Isles area just west of the old downtown Punta Gorda, and just far enough off busy Route 41 to be an extremely quiet neighborhood. Yet it was just a couple minutes from various shopping outlets, grocery stores, the fishing docks and Fisherman's Village, a fantastic array of restaurants, and many other interesting places to visit. There are 3 bedrooms, plus a sofa sleeper in the family room that would easily accommodate 8 adults. The house itself is possibly the nicest home in the surrounding area. If anyone is looking for a Florida destination that is a bit quieter and not so close to the overpopulated and overly-commercialized areas of Tampa, Ft. Myers, Orlando, or Miami, this is it. Yet those cities are all just a short drive away. We also visited the beautiful and quiet nearby warm water gulf beaches of Englewood Beach & Boca Grande Beach, and there are other attractions such as air boat rides, fishing, water sports, and nature parks nearby as well. The local community are wonderful people- a mix of long-time residents and retirees. There are numerous golf courses nearby for those interested in golf. We are already looking at next year's schedule to find a time to come back and spend more time here. It was tremendous! Thanks to the owners, who were very gracious. We'd highly recommend this place.
