'Our family of 7 and dogs had a fabulous Island getaway. You cannot beat the views. Situated right on the ocean, we spent our mornings walking the beach, our nights in the hottub looking up at the stars and our days hiking Elk Fall trails. Situated 10min away from town, we had access to grocery stores. What we liked was the layout. There is one bedroom suite downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs including another Master. This was great for us as we had a teething baby. Everyone got their rest....

'A peaceful, clean and comfortable suite for 2 friends escaping work and home tasks for some R and R and a base for hiking, swimming and kayaking. Laurie and Kevin are wonderful hosts, the property is beautiful and quiet and the rooms are spotless.'

'The property is lovely, the house top-notch with very comfy accoms for 2 couples +2 singles, and the kitchen fully stocked with all the mod cons (very picky detail: no hand mixer for making whipped cream, from a woman who travels with her own knives :P ). There are lots of activities in the near area and shops closeby. 'What a gem! Calm water, crabs everywhere, porpoises out the window. It is a classic Canadian cabin, just like in lake country, except without the mosquitoes but with salmon right outside. We managed to get there in a small open boat (our big one was out of commission) by doing a deal with nearby April Pt Marina.'

'This is an absolute beautiful spot on the river. Our 3 night stay was wonderful especially the bear watching as well as all the other birds and fish visible from your living room windows. The first day we had a mother bear and 3 cubs come down to the other side of the river to eat some salmon that were swimming in the water. The beds were very comfortable and it was really nice having a sink and toilet off of the master bedroom. This unit is on the top floor which was fine for us however...

'Beautiful place for a family get-together. Wonderful, large backyard oasis, complete with a sauna. Felt very private and secluded. Only minor thing is the road noise from the highway. Busier than I thought it would be. Once inside you can hardly hear anything from the road. Wonderful experience.'

'The property reminds me of a modern cabin- it looks like something out of a magazine or on Hgtv and is very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable! It was really nice to have an affordable place with 3 beds- and 3 comfortable beds at that. No pull outs! There are lots of grounds and tons of outdoor space. The large fire table and large deck out on the front deck with an ocean view is spectacular to enjoy. We saw some cruise ships go by at night. The sauna out back is also an extra special...

'This was our first trip to Savary Island. We didn’t really know what to expect but Samantha, our host, communicated with us and gave us some really useful info. Place is very big and in a perfect location, 4 min away from an amazing beach. All other spots on the island are a bike ride away. Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone. If you like beautiful, quiet, safe place and amazing beaches with unbelievably warm water (September 1st) Savary island resort is your place to go to.'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay at this VRBO. The kitchen amenities were so fully inclusive that we usually ate supper meals here rather than dine out. The hot tub was a nightly must and driving either into town or out to hiking locations was super easy. This is a great destination spot for people, like us, wanting to get to know the Campbell River area.'
